My informant in Kathmandu tells me that Friends Club have posted ads in local newspapers for a full time CEO. The news comes on the heels of the ANFA Congress approving terms for ANFA to hire its own paid CEO.
While a CEO will not immediately cure the ills of Nepali football, it is nice to see football associations understanding (or at least pretending to understand) the need for professional and competent staff. For too long Nepali sports have failed to acknowledge that to make money one needs to spend money. While a CEO will command at least 2-3 Lakhs salary a year, the additional income they potentially will be able to generate will be many times that amount.
